Welcome to Death Counter. By downloading, installing, or using the Death Counter application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Death Counter is a life expectancy countdown and health awareness application. The App calculates an estimated life expectancy based on user-provided health data and offers features including:

• Real-time life countdown timer
• "What If?" lifestyle change simulator
• Daily habit tracking with streak system
• Apple Health / Google Health Connect integration
• Life timeline and "Life in Weeks" visualization
• Breathing exercises and gratitude journal
• Bucket list and personal goals
• Weekly health reports and achievements
• Home screen and lock screen widgets
• Cloud sync and account linking

2. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Death Counter is intended for informational and motivational purposes only. It is NOT a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.

• Life expectancy calculations are statistical estimates based on general population data and should not be interpreted as medical predictions.
• The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment because of information provided by this App.
• Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit is used for estimation purposes only and is not clinically validated.

3. Account & Authentication

• You may use the App with an anonymous account. Your data is stored securely in the cloud.
• You may optionally link an Apple ID or Google account for cross-device access.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked accounts.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Premium Subscription

Death Counter offers auto-renewable subscription plans (Weekly, Monthly, Annual) that unlock premium features. Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4.2 Billing

• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings.

4.3 Free Trial

If offered, free trial periods automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Unused portions of free trials are forfeited upon purchase.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as they handle all payment processing. We do not process refunds directly.

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of content you create (bucket list items, gratitude entries, habit data).
• By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely for providing the service.
• You are responsible for the content you create and must not use the App for unlawful purposes.

6. Health Data

• Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect data is accessed only with your explicit consent.
• Health data is used exclusively to improve your life expectancy calculation and health insights.
• We do not sell, share, or use health data for advertising or marketing purposes.
• You can revoke health data access at any time through your device settings.

7. Notifications

The App may send local notifications (motivational quotes, habit reminders, weekly reports) based on your preferences. You can enable or disable each notification type within the App or through device settings.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, logos, and trademarks within the App are owned by or licensed to Death Counter and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to health decisions made based on App information.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of life expectancy calculations or health insights.
• Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
